I seem to have nuts and bolts issues with the blog, time to update it, I guess! These earrings are yummy, I will have to find a way to get a photo up! *edit* YAY!
I have been very busy with my glass straws, and starting to do work in boro. The reason for this post was to show some new boro work, but I guess I gotta get the writable directories back in order. Pheh! Glass is every so much more fun.
I just did a show at Art in the Round, which is a music and art event at a condo area in Beaverton, OR. Despite the harsh sun before it finally hid behind the building, it was a very fun and enjoyable afternoon. Small shows don’t often net me the most cash, but I don’t always do shows for the money. I just love supporting and being a part of local communities and their events. In today’s world, so much is being lost to global commerce, expectations, and big business. I love working with, supporting, and talking with humans, not phone trees, not giant corporate event talking heads. Even at a big show, it can be a personal event, absolutely, but when these little nice activities pop up and I have the time, I do them! There are two more Art in the Rounds this summer; I don’t know if I can do another as each has a very small number of artists and others should have a turn, but I enjoyed it very much! Maybe I will take the family to just go enjoy the next one as a spectator!
