Cafe productivity
I am sitting in a local cafe right now, listing things on Etsy and Artfire. Listing is a necessary part of my business, but it sure takes up time. Usually I only have time at night, but I prefer to list during the day. It eats up minutes, so right now I have a babysitter for Derek while I do this work, and get a little “alone” time to sit in a cafe like a real person. Heh.
New pendants, necklaces, bracelets…lots of goodies and many more to come. I am behind on listing, actually, so I hope to pop out a bunch more while my babysitter is on summer break from school.
I haven’t had much torch time, which is a bummer, but I’ve been so busy playing with my son, seeing my parents, and enjoying the summer weather. We have some camping trips coming up, more time away from the studio.
I guess I have spent some time at the torch, but a lot of it has been making my glass straws, which are selling very well. Torch time is torch time…but I do love the more creative work of beads when I have a chance. It has been so hot, too, that midday torching while Derek naps isn’t ideal. I also worry he will wake in the middle of a complex bead, and Derek wins and lives vs. the bead if that happens. =)
