I’m sitting here in my jewelry studio, trying to subdue a headache by will alone, mostly because I want to work on this blog instead of wandering upstairs searching for a Tylenol. There’s so much to share!
I hope the holidays were a time of happiness for you, however you spent them. Mine were very simple just getting together with family and spending time with each other. And, a giant, inflatable remote controlled-shark…just to keep things surreal. My son has named it JJ, aka “Jaws Junior,” and it’s fun when it starts swimming around in the living room, the only room that has a high ceiling so that he can navigate around.
Soon enough though, the year ended. 2017 was a big year for me and juiceglass. It was the first year I turned towards metal smithing, instead of spending most of my time in the glass studio. Now it’s more balanced between the two. I’ve been working on putting together two collections. Both of these will be offered all the time on my website, once the store upgrade is complete. Which will happen when the collections are complete, so that there’s something to sell!
I only need one collection complete for that, actually, so I am working hard focusing on that one collection to move everything else forward. I’m excited to have new ways to share my work with the world!
At the same time, the old ways still work, and they are still going strong.
I am happy to say I will be at the Gathering of the Guilds again this year at the Oregon Convention Center, showing my work with my friends in CMAG, the Creative Metal Arts Guild.
